#E32017 – The Evil Within 2 revealed! Trailer, Screenshots and Release Date

Finally after months of speculation, The Evil Within 2 was announced at Bethesda’s E3 Press Conference and too much of our surprise, its releasing this year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 13th.

Set three years after the original game, you will play as Detective Sebastian Castellanos and going all Max Payne 3, Castellanos is at his “lowest point” mentally after being discredited after what happened in Beacon.  However, going all Silent Hill this time, Julie Kidman returns to give Castellanos an opportunity to rescue his daughter Lilly, but in order to do so, he must venture into a “once-idyllic town to bring her back.

Of course the story will be filled with horrific monsters, demons, traps and plot twists to make even your mind go a little psycho.  The gameplay is said to feature a mixture of linear and explorable level designs, which encourages exploration and straight-out action, however you want to play.

You can watch the reveal trailer below, along with a batch of screenshots and box art.  Also, if you wish, you can read our review of the original game here.
