#E32018 Here’s the First Gameplay for Overkill’s The Walking Dead, out November

At E3 last night during the PC Gaming Show, we got our first look at the gameplay of Overkill’s The Walking Dead, the first-person, co-op action-horror game from the Payday developers.  Not only that, but we also finally got a set release date.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead will feature four playable characters with four different background stories and skill-sets with Aiden, Maya, Grant and Heather.  Gameplay-wise, it seems to be very much Left 4 Dead influenced, only that it looks more polished with it being a much more recent title.  It will also feature a variety of missions and raids as you fight to survive and scavenge for supplies.  You will also be able to approach the game how you please, whether it is all-out warfare or stealth.

There will also be a closed beta later this year, however this will only be exclusive to PC for those that pre-order the standard game.  However, those that pre-order the Deluxe Edition will be able to invite their friends to the beta.  The Deluxe Edition will also come with the Night Raid Character Pack which includes cosmetic skins, a digital art book and more.  The console version of the Deluxe Edition will come with a steelbook case, which has four collector card illustrated by comic book artist, Dan Panosian.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 6th in North America and the 8th everywhere else.  Though like the undead, I wish that region release dates would die.
