The E3 is back upon us and with it come the announcements, re-announcements, and reminders that certain games are in development and won’t be out for quite some time, and that others will be out sooner than most have initially expected. And during the Microsoft’s presser it has been announced that The Outer Worlds, will be one of the latter.

The Outer Worlds will officially see the light of day on the 25th of October of this year, and will run you the classic triple-A $59.99, or anywhere between £35 and £55 – if you happen to live on the other side of the pond.

If you own an Xbox One, or a rather hefty PC, then you won’t have to even directly pay for this particular RPG bonanza, as The Outer Worlds will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, and this is especially welcoming for PC players, as Xbox Game Pass will only cost the symbolic dollar for the duration of its beta. So fingers crossed that the said beta will run past the release date of Obsidian’s highly anticipated space epic.

With the release date announcement, also came a brand spanking new trailer, aptly named E3 2019 Trailer – which you can see for yourself below, and while it is not showing much, then it does enough to convince one that unlike Fallout: New Vegas, The Outer Worlds will work rather smoothly, as the showcased snippets of gameplay are truly a sight to behold.
