Evolve DLC Maps Will Be Free!
Well following the news that CD Projekt Red will be giving away all DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for free, Turtle Rock Studios and 2K Games have announced that all the DLC for Evolve will also be free! The awesome developers at Turtle Rock wanted to ensure that no one gets booted from a lobby for not having certain DLC and wants everyone to have the maximum multiplayer experience with their game.
This news was revealed via IGN, in which the games creative director Phil Robb stated that: “First thing we (Evolve’s creative leads) said was we can’t break the community up, so all of our maps will be free. We never want anyone to get booted off of a server because they haven’t bought something.” He added “We’ll have characters and monsters, and even if you don’t buy them, if your buddy wants to buy the DLC, that’s cool, and your game will be enhanced through his purchase,”
This is certainly a very welcomed move by the folks at Turtle Rock and 2K, and has made me even more hyped for Evolve when it releases for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One on February 10th 2015.
