Any fan of the Action/Horror First-Person-Shooter series, F.E.A.R, will be disappointed to know that the third upcoming title, F.3.A.R, has been delayed… again. The release date has now being pushed to June 24th 2011 for European gamers, and June 21st for those in the US.

The bad news came when UK retailer, GameGears, tweeted the news on their official Twitter page, which was confirmed soon after by the games publisher, Warner Bros. Interactive. Amazon account holders, who pre-ordered the title online, were also notified via e-mail. Warner Bros. did not explain why the game has been delayed again, but optimism says that the extra time that has been taken to develop the game will be worth it.

The third instalment of the popular series was announced in April 2010, and was initially slated for a release in the fall of that same year. This was before it was pushed to May of this year, and now pushed again to June.

Warner Bros. enlisted film director John Carpenter, best known for the horror classic Halloween and the remake of The Thing, to enhance the horror element of the game. With this came huge hype in how the game will be received.

Fingers crossed to no more delays in having Alma putting the chills on us once more.

F.3.A.R will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
