Fallout 4 Unveiled With Gameplay Trailer & Breaks Your Newsfeed, Screenshots Released

As you are likely aware by now, Fallout 4 has been officially unveiled with an awesome trailer, all created via its in-game engine.  It’s certainly been gaming’s worst kept secret over the last couple of years or so, but that hasn’t stopped the gaming community geeking out with excitement and breaking your newsfeed as a consequence.

There was certainly a lot going on in the trailer, much of which I missed first during my first watch.  But what we can see in the trailer is a lot of the old favourites such as Canine your loyal companion, Power Armour, a Pip-Boy, a Vault 111, Nuka-Cola, Ghouls, Mutants, Deathclaw’s and so much more, my brain will explode if I try to take it all in!

The trailer also confirmed that Boston Massachusetts will be the main location of Fallout 4, as we see many iconic locations, such as the Massachusetts State House, the Paul Revere Statue, the USS Constitution and yep you’ve guessed it, much more (beyond my general knowledge of Boston at least).

Though what really stood out for me from the trailer were a number of things, like how Canine behaved when exploring the derelict buildings and his response to seeing his owner, he behaves more life-like then ever before.  We also saw what looked like events taking place before the apocalypse, so will these be in the form of flashbacks cut-scenes or will they be playable sections in the game? Even the main character spoke actual dialogue, which is a first for the series and to top it off, it was narrated by the great Ron Perlman once more.

I can’t remember a game that’s caused quite the buzz as Fallout 4 in recent times, but then we have been waiting around 7 years for a proper sequel, with Fallout 3 releasing way back in 2008.  However, Bethesda have promised a “world premiere of the game” for “the next generation of open-world gaming” on June 14th 19:00 PST  (3:00am UK) during E3.  The event will be streamed via Twitch and YouTube.

No official release date has been given for Fallout 4, though we hope that we might see it release at the end of this year.  But we do know that it will release for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.  Bring it on E3!
