Now, even though Far Cry 3 was an overall amazing experience in terms of what it offered, a lot of people agreed that the multiplayer felt a bit shallow. According to CEO Yves Guillemot, there will be more MP content this time around. There were also talks of more DLC involved … hooray?

“We are working on launching games that will be played for a longer time,” Guillemot said. “This will allow us to do more DLC [and] item-based sales in those games.”

Also according to Ubisoft CFO, Alfo Martinez:

“We are moving to make games that are extended over longer periods, so in those games, we not only want to sell more [units], but we want to sell more items, more content,” Martinez said. “That’s one of the challenges of course, but that’s what we’re seeing some other players have successfully done.”

Not much is known at the moment about the game, but hopefully more information and gameplay shall be released come E3 next month. The pre-order bonus DLC has already been revealed (as seen above). If you pre-order the game on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 or Xbox One, you’ll get a free upgrade to the limited edition, which brings back the monkey killing maniac Hurk, back into the limelight. The bonuses you receive include three singleplayer missions and a harpoon gun.

Far Cry 4 is set for release November this year.
