Fear the Wolves Gets a New Early Access Release Date

Although initially scheduled to release by the end of July, Fear The Wolves suffered a delay as the developers needed more time with the closed beta phases, in order to improve it to a point where it was ready for an Early Access release.

The game will now feature a new map and mode, as well as various weapons, items, mutants, and weather effects. A timeline of intended updates is available on the game’s Steam page where the developers promise regular content updates to bring it closer to release.

The game will now be available on the 28th of August via Steam’s Early Access programme, with the full release planned for 2019. It is quoted to be an evolution of the battle royale genre with an atmosphere remnant to that of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.  A new Gamescom trailer has also been released, which you can find below.
