Update: Dated for PC and Xbox One – First DLC Map Pack for Call of Duty: WWII detailed with The Resistance

Update 23/02/18: The Resistance DLC map pack has been dated for March 1st for PC and Xbox One, it released on January 30th for PS4 due to the timed exclusivity period deal.

Original Story 21/12/17: The first DLC map pack has been detailed for Call of Duty: WWII with The Resistance, which will include three new multiplayer maps, a new mission for War Mode and the next chapter in the Nazi Zombies campaign.

The three new maps are Occupation, which is a remake of the Resistance map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Anthropoid in Czechoslovakia offering a river that divides the centre of the map and flanking areas to favour the sniper within, and lastly Valkyrie, located in East Prussia, Germany, inspired by Hitler’s headquarters, The Wolf’s Lair.

The new mission in War Mode is Operation Intercept, which will task players with a variety of new objectives such as saving Resistance fighters on the outskirts of St. Lo, France, followed by destroying vital Nazi communication equipment and will conclude with stopping a train used to transport captured P.O.W’s.

The next chapter in the Nazi Zombies campaign is The Darkest Shore.  Following the events of The Final Reich in Mittelburg, the team of Marie, Drostan, Olivia and Jefferson receive new Intel that suggests that Doktor Straub is hiding away on a remote island north of the German border.  The Darkest Shore will be a fogged island obscuring the players view until the undead get up-close and dangerous, it will feature a new weapon known as the Ripsaw and a new zombie type that is being described as “strategic” and “one of the scariest creations” in the series yet.
