First-Ever Mortal Kombat 11 Expansion Announced, Includes Robocop!

Yesterday we were teased for the first ever story expansion in the Mortal Kombat series, but now Aftermath has been officially revealed and it looks awesome! I won’t give too much away, just in case you haven’t finished the story campaign of Mortal Kombat 11, but the story takes place directly following the events of the main campaign with the “Fire God” Liu Kang as the new protector of Earthrealm and he must forge new, unlikely alliances to bring order to our worlds.

Additionally, along with the new story campaign, we will get some returning and new characters, such as the all-mighty Sheeva, the “God of Wind” Fujin and my personal favourite, Robocop, based upon the best Peter Weller version of the iconic cybernetic law-enforcer.  This means if you own the previous Mortal Kombat 11 DLC, we can have Robocop vs. Terminator in the realms of Mortal Kombat!

Also as an added bonus coming via a free update, Mortal Kombat 11 owners will get new stages including the returning Klassic Dead Pool and Soul Chamber, which come with new stage Fatalities.  Better still, fans of the 90’s will be glad to see the return of the Friendship (Fatalities).

For those that pre-order, you will be gifted with the Eternal Klash Pack which includes three new character skins with the Scorpion inspired “Unbound Rage”, the Sub-Zero inspired “Son of Arctika” and “Kori Power” Frost, a Klassic version of Lin Kuei.

If you already own Mortal Kombat 11, you can pre-order the Aftermath expansion for £34.99/€39.99 or purchase it with the additional Kombat Pack for £39.99/€49.99, and you can pick-up Aftermath bundled with the base game.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will release this month on May 26th for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.  You can also read our review of Mortal Kombat 11 here.
