Following on from this week’s alleged leaked details, a Reddit user has leaked an apparent screenshot of Assassin’s Creed: Origins (seen above).  Now I would say that with any rumours, we should take them with a pinch of salt, but this screenshot in particular looks very genuine to me, if it’s not, then it’s a very good fake indeed.  However, websites such as Eurogamer has claimed that their sources have confirmed it to be genuine.

Other then looking very authentic, the off-screen image backs up many of the details that were leaked in our previous article, such as Navel gameplay and the protagonist (one of two apparently) carrying not only a shield, but also some arrows in a quiver.

Also according to the leak on Reddit, most of the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag team are working on Origins, which makes sense with the game expected to feature Navel gameplay heavily.  It will also apparently feature modern day segments, I guess similar to what we have seen in previous games with Desmond Miles.  However, it is said that Assassin’s Creed: Origins will not feature Mr Miles (for obvious reasons).

Assassin’s Creed: Origins will also feature an improved version of the Anvil Engine, which is used to power AC: Unity and Syndicate, as well as other Ubisoft titles; Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege and Ghost Recon Wildlands, Steep and For Honor.

The new leaked info again backs up the previous info by stating that an official announcement is expected by the end of this month, with a full reveal at E3 in June.  However, following the second major leak within a week, it wouldn’t surprise me if Ubisoft brought that announcement forward.

Of course, as soon as we know more on Assassin’s Creed: Origins, we’ll update you right away.
