Free Fallout 76 Wastelanders Update Arrives this April, Adds NPC’s

The largest update for Fallout 76 was supposed to be the games saving grace, which was until it was delayed last year alongside the announcement of the Fallout First subscription service.  It was a move that didn’t please much of the community, especially after Fallout 76 continues to be plagued the various issues.  However, given that Fallout 76 has had such a rocky road, it was perhaps the best decision to be made by Bethesda.

Since then we’ve been eagerly awaiting an announcement as to when the Wastelanders update will arrive and Bethesda has now announced a new release date of April 7th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Fallout 76 will also become available on PC Steam on the same date.

The free Wastelanders update will finally introduce NPC characters into the game, something that should have been included from the start in my opinion, as well as bringing new quests, factions, relationships to forge and more.  The update will also bring new creatures and gear to the West Virginia lands of the Appalachia.

Wastelanders will arrive via a free update for Fallout 76 owners from April 7th (as long as it doesn’t get delayed again).  If this update flops, it could be the final nail in the coffin for Fallout 76.  Are you still playing Fallout 76 or perhaps you’ve been waiting for this update?  Let us know your thoughts across our social media channels
