From someone that has attempted to finish Batman Arkham Origins twice, but has been denied by the same exact game breaking glitch on both attempts, this news doesn’t bring me much confidence.  As a WB community manager has revealed that any further Batman: Arkham Origins patches are unlikely at this time, well for the “minor glitches” at least.  This sadly is a sign of the times for a game to get released before it’s clearly finished or passed some kind of rigorous testing due to the pressure of publisher deadlines.

I know there have been patches already released across all formats, but none of those patches have fixed my game breaking glitch and I’m sure that I’m not alone.  This news came via various queries directed to a community manager of Warner Bros. Games via their website in which they revealed that they have no plans to release another patch.

The one minor positive that we can take from this statement in terms of the game breaking glitches is that they say “If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play” Which does hint at the possibility of a patch being released to fix the major issues, but it doesn’t fill me with confidence and therefore I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Here’s what the WB community manager had to say:

The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums,”

If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players, not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play. The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused for some of you, and want to thank you for having been patient.

Fingers crossed that game breaking glitches such as the one found below does eventually get fixed, as I know I’m not alone on this matter and I would love to actually finish this game.
