Battlefield-Hardline

At this year’s E3, EA and Visceral were generous enough to show some gameplay from the campaign of, Battlefield: Hardline. In this segment, we follow Nick Mendoza and Marcus as they are captured by a crazy arms dealer, who plans to bring Nick in for a bounty reward.

Overall the story seems pretty straightforwardly told, which is good. Also, the gameplay seems to use police elements to really distinguish itself from the previous Battlefield entries. Also, it seems to have taken a tad bit inspiration from Far Cry 3, with how you approach and tag enemies. Lastly, you are allowed to playthrough some sections both lethally, or none lethally.

Lastly, we were also given a trailer glimpse of a no respawn game mode from the MP section of the game. In this mode once you are taken out, it remains that way, echoing mechanics of the popular Counter Strike franchise.

The game was originally meant to release this year, but due to it requiring more effort, it got pushed till next year. Here is hoping that the story will be interesting throughout.
