#Gamescom2019 Little Nightmares 2 Announced and Trailer Released

Like an RKO out of nowhere, a sequel to the brilliant Little Nightmares was announced at Gamescom last night.  Developed once more by Tarsier Studios, Little Nightmares II will now tell the story of Mono, a boy trapped in “a world distorted by the humming transmission of a distant Signal Tower”.  Little Nightmares II will also see the return of the yellow raincoat wearing Six, from the original game.  Mono will be the main playable character, with Six being controlled by the AI, which is a shame that Six can’t also be controlled by another human player, because this would make for a fantastic co-op option.

Little Nightmares II will have the eerie characters and puzzle solving that made the first game so successful, but in this sequel, it will now feature some form of combat as Mono will be able to wield weapons that he picks up from the environment.  This sequel will also see us venture to the outside world, with the first game being set in the enclosed, dark and damp Maw.

Little Nightmares II will release for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this year.  There will also be a mobile game for iOS (no word of an Android release as of yet) launching this year too.
