Ah it’s that time of year again, where PC games hit stupidly low prices in celebration of Christmas. First to the punch with the sales is GOG, the classic PC game download site. GOG specialize in taking retro games and fixing them up to work on newer OS’s and the like, a great site that delivers to a very specific audience of nostalgia.

But that’s not what I want to talk about, the site is great and the sale is great but the cherry on top is by far the Christmas present for us all. As of this morning you can drop by the site, make an account and get yourself a copy of Duke Nukem 3D for free. As mentioned previously, they fix up old games so there shouldn’t be a worry about getting it to run on your PC, and for anyone who doesn’t know about GOG, they already have a small list of free games awarded to you when signing up. So if you drop by today and get yourself registered you will have eight games to keep you happy over the Christmas season.

Here are the games you can grab for free from the site (some may have to be added manually)

  • Duke Nukem 3D
  • Treasure Adventure Game
  • Tyrian 2000
  • Lure of the Temptress
  • Beneath a Steel Sky
  • Teen Agent
  • Dragonsphere
  • Ultima IV

So what are you waiting for, get over there!
