Here’s Our First Proper Look at PGA Tour 2K21 Gameplay

2K has released the first gameplay trailer for PGA Tour 2K21 with the license now not in the hands of Electronic Arts.  In total PGA Tour 2K21 will include 11 PGA Tour pros, plus Justin Thomas who is the games cover star, as well as 15 licensed PGA Tour courses and equipment.  It will also feature licensed brands and apparel such as Adidas, Polo Ralph Lauren, Callaway Golf, Bridgestone Golf, Malbon Golf, TaylorMade Golf and more.

You’ll also be able to create your own Golf course with the Course Designer and it will include feature 2K modes such as My Career and MyPlayer.  It will also boast broadcast style presentation with dynamic cut-scenes and a seamless replay system with play-by-play commentary from Luke Elvy and Rich Beem.  There will also be a variety of multiplayer modes for up-to four players.

With 2K not being the only company that loves microtransactions, they have stated in the press release that “cosmetic items can also be unlocked by achieving in-game objectives.  No additional purchase necessary.”  This does indicate that there will be items that can be earned via gameplay, as well as by via real-world money; let’s just hope that it’s not too much of a grind or a random lottery.

PGA Tour 2K21 will release for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia on Friday, August 21st.
