Here’s the First of Screenshots of Next-Gen The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

The game might be at least a year away from release, but the first screenshots for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum have been revealed.  I must say that the screenshots do appear to be more cartoony then I expected them to be, as I assumed they’d go for realism, but they certain capture the vibe of J.R.R. Tolkien’s wonderful fantasy world.

The screenshots in question reveal Gollum exploring and sneaking through Middle-Earth in locations such as Mordor and Mount Doom with Sauron in the backdrop, we also see an image of Shelob’s Lair, and what might be one of the giant Eagles from Misty Mountains.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a stealth game and is developed by Daedalic Entertainment who is primarily known for Point and Click adventure titles, and Gollum is said to struggle throughout the game having a constant inner battle with his alter-ego, Sméagol and he will also level-up special abilities.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is said to release in 2021 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, assuming we get no delays (which is likely).  In the meantime, you can check out the newly released screenshots below, as well as a piece of concept art.
