At The Game Awards last night, the highly anticipated Death Stranding was once again on show, this time with a brand new trailer which was around 8 minutes long.  We still don’t know exactly what the game was about, but in some ways it kind of reminded me of Stranger Things, with it possibly having some kind of parallel universe to our own (at least that’s my theory).  The video starred a virtual Normal Reedus and he narrated about how a big bang created life, but there was another big bang which set the events of Death Stranding in motion.

The video also showcased an eerie invisible monster that was seemingly on the hunt for the Normal Reedus character and his companions, which some of them ultimately met their demise by either being pulled beneath the ground in some kind of black, oil liquid, while another got pulled towards the sky.  Whatever that entity was, the characters preferred to take their own lives there and then, rather than being taken.  Oh, and the trailer also featured a baby in a bag type thing, and a baby inside of the Norman Reedus character giving us a thumbs up, because, of course.

Whatever was going on the latest Death Stranding trailer, I was digging its sci-fi horror vibe and it continues to keep me intrigued.  No exact release date has been given yet, but it’s expected to release on PC and PS4 between late 2018 and sometime in 2019.
