A pair of indie developers named Binky and Lemmy (Probably not the Motorhead frontman) have revealed that the secret project they’ve been working on is a zombie survival game. They have announced the project in order to ask for donations in order to complete its development, as Minecraft creator Notch did with his indie hit.

The game itself shares elements with Minecraft – crafting of items and a randomly generated open world, but looks like a traditional isometric RPG. It has character progression, a wider story which impacts player’s localities and non-player characters who may act in unexepected ways – including addiction and suicide.

It sounds incredibly ambitious and is a very exciting project. With donators offered ‘free updates of the game for life’ there’s certainly incentive to offer a little help to a pair of devs who are not only inventive, but also offering to use player input to craft their game. It will be playable in-browser as well as being offered as a full download.
