It seems Starfield will ship on a disc after all, but there’s a catch
In the modern era of digital gaming, for better or worse, digital delivery is forever on the rise.
While digital video games have benefits such as sharing that game with a family member to play at the same time as well as the ease of access, for collectors, it’s always nice to own a game physically.
One such game that will focus on digital delivery is the highly anticipated Bethesda sci-fi RPG, Starfield. In recent days, there has appeared to be some confusion claiming that Starfield will not have a physical release, but will instead be digital-only.
Thankfully, however, that is not true. Well, at least for the most part. As reported by Pure Xbox, the Bethesda Starfield FAQ has cleared up some confusion.
Starfield will ship physically, but only for the standard edition of the game. This means that the snazzy Constellation Edition does still come with a digital code with a steelbook.
Starfield will be released on 6 September 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
