According to the latest NPD numbers, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has sold over 410,000 units in the US alone, for a new IP that’s pretty impressive. This latest RPG to come from EA has also sold another 80,000 units in March.

Adding to the grandeur of this achievement, the NPD data doesn’t include PC sales made through digital distribution networks. In short, copies of Reckoning sold via Steam, etc. hasn’t even been included to that number. NPD spokesman David Riley notes that, it’s “an impressive figure for just two months, no matter how you slice it.”

Developed by 38 Studios and Big Huge Games, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning follows the story of a mortal known as the “Fateless One” who, having died before the game’s outset, is revived in the experimental Well of Souls by the gnomish scientist Fomorous Hugues. The game follows your quest for answers and revenge.
