Konami Confirms Silent Hill Return is Under Consideration

Earlier this month, reports were revealed from a proven, reliable source that two Silent Hill games were in development.  It was implied that one of the titles would be a “soft reboot”, while the other would take influence from the likes of Telltale Games and Supermassive Games’ Until Dawn.  However for me, it was the soft reboot that caught my attention the most, as it left it open to be a reboot of sorts, but would perhaps still link into the original games (hopefully the first three).

As with all reports and rumours, we should always take them with a pinch of salt, no matter how reliable that sources may have proven to be in the past.  However, those recent reports have had some added validation as a spokesperson of Konami commented on the rumours to Eurogamer by confirming that a series return is at least under consideration.

The Konami spokesperson told Eurogamer that “We cannot share anything at this point, but we are listening to customer feedback and considering ways to provide the next title.
