Latest Call of Duty WWII event has you chasing a Zombie Leprechaun!

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Activision and Sledgehammer games are having a special St. Paddy’s Day event called Operation: Shamrock & Awe for Call of Duty: WWII which is taking place right now and will end on April 3rd.  The event will bring new modes, gear, Orders, Contracts and a zombie leprechaun, because of course.

In the Leprechaun Hunt Moshpit, you will play a combination of Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed and Domination modes, however the twist is that there will be a snippy, little shit of a zombie leprechaun to hunt down and kill, that’s if you can catch him!  However, should you find and kill this little prick, players are rewarded with all their equipped Scorestreaks being fully loaded and ready to deploy against the opposing team.  The Leprechaun Hunt Moshpit will be available in the Featured Public Match playlist during the event from 5pm GMT on March 16th to 5pm GMT on March 19th.

During this event there will also be the multiplayer map Shipment 1944, which is a re-imagining of the close-quarter map from Modern Warfare.  This map will be available for free via early access for season pass holders as of now and then free for all on Friday March 16th.

The new weapons and gear includes various uniform items, camos, charms, weapons and variants.  The two new weapons include the M-38 Submachine Gun and the M8-81 Light Machine Gun.  To get an added taste of what to expect during the Operation: Shamrock & Awe event, you can check out its content trailer below, as well as some screenshots for the Shipment 1944 multiplayer map.
