LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Announced

Marvel.com have confirmed that Travellers Tales (now more commonly known as TT Games) are giving their superheroes the LEGO game experience. With a tentative release date of Autumn 2013, TT Games plan to deliver the game to almost every platform available, with Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, PC, DS, 3DS and Vita all covered.

Unsurprisingly, the game will tie into existing LEGO Marvel sets pretty well, and offer a wide range of superheroes to play with. It will run with its own storyline, based around Nick Fury calling upon a wide range of heroes to protect the earth from the likes of Loki and Galactus.

TT Games are promising more than 100 Marvel characters to be available for play, including heroes and villains alike. Already confirmed are Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Deadpool.

As someone who has enjoyed the LEGO games but not really had the right franchise yet, I think this is finally the one that will win me over. There’s just so much scope in the Marvel universe to make this a truly great game for all ages, which hopefully TT Games can capitalise on.
