Developer Dontnod, the people behind 2013’s futuristic Neo-Paris action game Remember Me, have been revealed to be working on a brand new IP called Life is Strange.

Touted as a ‘narrative driven adventure game’, Life is Strange centres on character Max Caulfield, who has been away from her home for five years. Upon returning, she discovers that her friend Rachel Amber has mysteriously disappeared. Reuniting with an old friend in attempting to uncover the truth about Rachel’s disappearance, Max also discovers that she has the power to rewind time. The Square Enix blog indicates that every action you take may have a butterfly effect – i.e. the potential for decisions you make to have consequences.

That is pretty much all the information currently available about the game, but hopefully more will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The game is being published by Square Enix, and will reportedly be released as an episodic, digital title on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360, with a release date to be confirmed.
