Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Trailer & Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Square Enix has released two new trailers today, one for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and the other is a walkthrough for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Firstly the Lightening Returns trailer is called “The Devine Task” and it details the emphasis on its story, action and characters.

‘Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII’ will be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 14th 2014.

The second trailer I have for you, well I should say more of a gameplay showcase, is a walkthrough for the MMO; Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. In this walkthrough we see some of the areas that you are free to explore in the realm of Eorzea.

Additionally it has also been announced that the third phase of beta testing will begin on Friday July 5th, 10:00am UK time / 11:00am CET. (End time for this Beta 3 weekend is still TBC).

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is scheduled for release on August 27th for the PC and PS3; it will also be released for the PS4 in 2014.

It seems that today is the day of Final Fantasy news, as FFVII made its way on to Steam and that the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remake will be getting an all-new 30 minute ending sequence, as well as a confirmed release date.
