The music to the upcoming CastlevaniaLords of Shadow 2 was recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studio. As most music fans might know, music for a lot of big projects from the likes of John Williams, Hans Zimmer, for products such as Lords of the Rings and Star Wars has been recorded there, not to mention The Beatles. Also, they have some of the most talented people working for them there, who truly give your music an unique uplift.

In the newly released Developer Diary, composer Oscar Araujo and Studio Head, Dave Cox talk about why it was so important to have big, live orchestral recordings done for their upcoming game, and just how important the music is to the legacy of Gabriel/Dracula. They also reminisce about how Oscar was brought on board, and why his music and vision stood out with the developers. According to the websiteThe Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 soundtrack features the largest orchestra ever used in the production of a video game, and spanned several weeks of recording.

The game will be released on the 27th of Feburary for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and the soundtrack too, should hopefully release a few days before it, published by Sumthing Else! You can in fact, pre-order the OST now on Amazon. Lastly, check out the video and samples below!
