2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is not only considered to be one of the best games in its series but also one of the best video games of all time.
So when the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake was announced earlier this year, it was understandably met with a lot of excitement. Officially called Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the number three is presumably dropped due to this being a prequel to the series and an ideal starting point for a series of remakes.
We were teased with a trailer of sorts and some screenshots, but we never got to see much of the game in action. That was until now. Earlier this week Konami released in-engine footage of the remake powered by Unreal Engine 5.
Fans of the original game will be very familiar with the scenery on the show and to me, it looks quite impressive, though it does appear to have received a mixed reaction on social media. Hopefully, come release, the remake will nail the original charm and fun gameplay.
At this time there is no release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but we do know that it will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
