MGSV: The Phantom Pain Release ‘Officially’ Dated, Collector Edition Includes Bionic Arm!

Following the release date leak for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain after a NeoGAF user had gotten on to the IGN servers, the release date have now been officially confirmed.  As fully expected, The Phantom Pain will release for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 1st worldwide, then the Steam version of the game will release September 15th.  Metal Gear Online will also be playable upon the release of the full game.

Additionally a Collector’s Edition has be announced, that includes a half scale replica of Snakes bionic arm as seen in the game!  A Day One Edition has also been revealed, that includes a host in added in-game content (content also included in the Collector’s Edition).  The Day One Edition will carry an RRP of £59.99 (£49.99 for Steam), while the Collector’s Edition will carry a price tag of £99.99.

As an added bonus, IGN has released two developer videos, one with wise words from Mr Hideo Kojima himself talking about the development of The Phantom Pain and what’s new, the other tells us of the many aspects of Metal Gear Online.
