Minecraft Launches Free Educational Content in Time of Isolation

Across the world, whether you believe they have genuine intentions or not, big media organisations in streaming, movies, TV and videogames have been offering a plethora of free content to help those in isolation due to the Coronavirus.  Sadly, I can’t list them all, but I can bring you the attention of at least one and this one in particular is great for the children not able to attend school, especially for those that love Minecraft.

From today and until June 30th 2020, you’ll be able to download free educational content for Minecraft.  The free content covers the basis of favourite lessons of education such as the International Space Station, exploring the human eye, renewable energy, marine biology, Greek History and much more.  You’ll be able to explore it all from the comfort of your own home with Minecraft: Education Edition, with creative writing activities, build challenges and fun puzzles.

Friends and families will be able to play Minecraft: Education Edition for any copies of Minecraft owned on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10 PC, Android, iOS, Kindle Fire, Gear VR, Oculus Rift and Fire TV.

Are you going to be playing Minecraft: Education Edition, perhaps as a parent with your child?  We’d love to hear you thoughts across our social media channels.

Further details on Minecraft: Education Edition can be found here.  Stay at home, save lives and stay safe.
