Monkey in a Ball Simulator, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD Officially Announced!

Following recent reports of Sega registering various trademarks across Asia for a potentially new Super Monkey Ball title, that news has been made official with the announcement of Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

This will be a HD remaster of the Banana Blitz that released for the Nintendo Wii in 2006.  Not only will it come with enhanced visual improvements, but also new and improved control schemes, online leaderboard support and even a new mode not included in the original.  The new mode in question is called Decathalon and it will require the players to complete a set of ten mini-games in a row.

While I’m quite excited that we’re getting a Super Monkey Ball in this generation, I was hoping that it would have been a brand new game, but hopefully with all the improvements being made to this HD release, the game will age well (hopefully).

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD will have a launch RRP of £34.99 and will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on October 29th, then for PC Steam this coming winter.

Are you excited about this announcement and which platform will you be picking Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD on?  For me, I’ll be picking this up on the Nintendo Switch, but do let us know your thoughts across our social media channels.
