Just when I started wondering if we would see the return of Elder Dragons in Monster Hunter: World, we get a brand new trailer confirming them. Elder Dragons are easily some of the most challenging and interesting foes in Monster Hunter, who use the power of elements such as air and fire with some even creating storms to disorient hunters.

Some of the dragons shown in the trailer were: Steel Dragon Kushala who can generate wind storms, and Teostra who spews fire at it’s assailants. A new wyvern-like monster was also introduced called Dodogama that can turn rocks into explosives with its saliva.

It was also confirmed that the final beta will launch on the 19th and end on the 22nd. In addition to the previously released Great Jagras, Anjanath and Barroth quests, players will now be able to battle against the game’s terrifying and challenging flagship monster Nergigante.

Lastly Capcom gave more hints as to what we can expect with free future updates, with the first major one introducing the addition of the fan-favourite monster Deviljho who players will be able to hunt. According to Capcom, The Deviljho must feed constantly and will devour anything in its way, even feeding on the largest of monsters with its massive jowls. This wild beast really is one for only the bravest of hunters to take on!

Monster Hunter: World will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One on the 26th of January with a PC version expected to release during Autumn later this year.
