More Battlefield 3 Premium Rumours

If OXM’s latest reports of rumours are true, then Battlefield 3 fans could be in for a treat with the premium service. For starters the release date could be as soon as June 29th and could cost about £35 ($60). This is quite costly but by the sounds of it, this could be worth that hard earned cash. Players could potentially be getting 20 new maps (16 if you already own Back to Karkand) these map packs would include Close Quarters, Armoured Kill and End Game. There is also a rumoured DLC pack called Aftermath, however could this be something else apart from multiplayer maps? We will have to wait for further information on this particular DLC.

For the rest of these rumours the numbers could be less if you already own Back to Karkand. Players could see 20 new weapons along with 10 or more vehicles. Four or more new game modes could be seen, which would do the game a great service in terms of re-playability if the game modes are interesting enough. 30+ more assignments could be seen, which could add greater challenge to the multiplayer. To top it all of there could be 20+ more new dog tags.

It may be pricy but compared to its competition from Call of Duty Elite, it has one advantage and that is players know what they’re paying for with this service. There may be surprises such as extra camo for your character, but you know all the major things that will be included with the service.

The Close Quarters DLC is to be released in June, maybe the same time as the premium service? As for Armoured Kill this will be out in September and End Game will be out in December.
