When Elden Ring was released in February 2022, it instantly became one of the best video games in recent memory. This should come as no surprise when Elden Ring is developed by FromSoftware.

A year after its release, FromSoftware announced that Elden Ring would be getting a major expansion with Shadow of the Erdtree. However, details on the highly anticipated expansion were very vague. In fact, details are pretty much non-existent at this point, but that may be about to change very soon.

Back in December 2023, leaked details on a Thrustmaster accessory suggested that Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree may be released next month in February, and if the latest news is anything to go by, that is now looking increasingly likely.

As reported by Eurogamer, Twitter user ‘Ziostorm’ noticed an interesting DLC amendment for Steam via SteamDB. The amendment did not mention Shadow of the Erdtree by name. However, considering the recent news regarding the expansion, I think we all know what it means. Hopefully, now that the cat is out of the proverbial bag every publisher Bandai Namco or FromSoftware will make an official announcement in the coming days.

Elden Ring is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
