New Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer DLC

 

Kotaku reports possible rumours from Reddit user derptemp6698 on new multiplayer DLC for Mass Effect 3 entitled “Earth“. The DLC would include 3 new maps, London, Vancouver and Rio, 3 new weapons, Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol, and Typhoon light machine gun. There will also be 6 new classes, Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow, and Fury.

This will be the third multiplayer DLC pack for Mass Effect 3 and I’m slightly confused as to why there has been no single player DLC yet. I know there is the upcoming “Extended Cut” that will hopefully give a more satisfying ending, but let’s be honest this isn’t really necessary. I know the ending was poor to say the least but surely Bioware should be focusing on creating new and exciting branching storylines involving new and even old characters form the franchise.

An expanded ending for Mass Effect 3. Additional scenes and an extended epilogue reveal the impact of Shepard’s choices on the future of the galaxy.

It seems as though Bioware has forgotten what made Mass Effect exciting in the first place, the story. Bioware need to re-focus on this and make some truly great single placer DLC.
