A new trailer titled “Daemon Trailer” has been released for the upcoming action RPG developed by Tokyo RPG Factory (those behind I Am Setsuna and Lost Sphear).

The trailer shows off a bit more gameplay than the previous releases, this time focussing on briefly showing us some of the weapons and abilities you can use during combat.

The weapons, utilised by switching partners in game, include swords, axes, scythes, spears and ‘shotbolts’, which are a mixture of pistol and crossbow.

Each of these appears to have unique abilities and styles. The sword offers a good balance of speed and power, while also enabling you to dash to evade; the axe is obviously a heftier weapon, however you can use its size to block attacks; the spear allows you to charge and leap attack enemies; the scythe provides good range and also enables you to blink behind your target; and finally the shotbolt, while perhaps won’t be as good up close, gives you the ability to spring backwards – firing shots as you go – and offers impressive AOE.

You can check out our previous articles if you want to read more on the story, however in essence the game follows a ‘Watcher’ who is tasked with ‘ushering’ lost souls into the next world.

The game looks great so far, with its colourful style and lively combat. Hopefully come its release this summer we’ll have a charming and exciting action RPG to dig in to.
