Ahead of its public showing at EGX this week (24th to 27th at Birmingham National Exhibition Centre), a gameplay trailer for the psychological deep sea thriller Iron Fish has been released.

The trailer is designed to give players a glimpse of the exploration you will get up to on release, as well as some hints as to what dangers await 11,000 meters down.

A press release had this to say about what awaits players who demo the game at EGX:

Players will investigate a mysterious shipwreck, searching for lost digital schematics that seem to point to some strange goings-on. To get there they’ll have to use both their brains and Cerys’ tool set, as they work to avoid a shoal of sharks that have turned up to feast on the remains of the unlucky crew on-board.

The game will see players employing careful tactics to evade a range of aggressive sea creatures (and potentially some other mysterious nasties…) as they descend further and further beneath the surface.”

For more information on the game’s story, check out our original article here, as well as another showcasing some recently new screenshots here.

Check out the trailer above with all its atmospheric spookiness, and if you’re attending EGX this week, the game will be playable in the Rezzed area.

Contrary to our last article, the game is set to release on Steam in Q1 of 2016, so there’s a little more of a wait unfortunately, but keep an eye out here for more information as it is released.
