Ok, ok we all know that Call of Duty will release every year, but let’s be honest, it’s far from the only game with yearly updates.  Though in all fairness while Call of Duty games are released on a yearly basis, due to Activisions development cycle each Call of Duty is being developed between 2-3 years.

So this brings us round to the 2014 instalment of the Call of Duty franchise and even though this image doesn’t reveal anything in regards to its story or gameplay, it does show that its development cycle is already showing its benefits, even if this is just one mere image.

The 2014 Call of Duty game has been in development for three long years by developers Sledgehammer Games and judging by this image that reveals an ‘in-game’ character model, visually at least it looks like the hard work maybe paying off.  Have a look at the image for yourself below.

According to the publisher Activision, the unannounced Call of Duty title is said to be a “next gen first”.  What they mean by that exactly remains to be seen, but I’m sure we’ll know a little more in the coming weeks and we’ll be sure to update you as soon as possible.
