Official Steam Product Page Appears For Alan Wake’s American Nightmare On PC [Update: Remedy Confirms Date]

UPDATE: Remedy has provided Joystiq an official release date of May 22nd for the PC version of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare

Original Story: After making an appearance via Steam registry files recently, it appears that Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is officially heading to the PC! Need proof? How about Steam’s official product page full of screenshots, details, a trailer, and even the ability to purchase it at a current 10% discount. You can even grab an additional 15% off if you already own the original Alan Wake title on Steam.

For more proof, Gog.com’s twitter recently stated –

Alan Wake $14.99 today, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare $14.99 pre-order tomorrow! More news coming soon 😉

The title had oft been rumoured for a PC release, following on shortly from the original title’s release earlier this year both in retail and digital formats. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare offers up a smaller, more bite-sized experience of Alan Wake, yet still retains the core characteristics and gameplay mechanics that made the original so memorable. The addition of the ‘Fight Till Dawn’ Arcade mode offered up lots of replay value too, bringing a horde style mode into the series. You can check out our review here of the Xbox 360 version.

The Steam description reads –

In this brand new standalone experience, Alan Wake fights the herald of darkness, the evil Mr. Scratch! A thrilling new storyline, hordes of creepy enemies, serious firepower and beautiful Arizona locations, combined with a fun and challenging new game mode make this a must for Alan Wake veterans, and the perfect jumping on point for new players!

Expect an official announcement shortly.
