Following Steams lead (and perhaps to try and take some focus away from the Summer Sale), EA’s PC gaming online store and management system, Origin, have announced that they’ll be offering players 48-hours free access to some of the company’s newest titles via a new initiative called Game Time and first up will be Titanfall.

Since last year (when they were voted “the worst company in America” for the second time by Consumerist.com) EA have really pulled out as many stops as possible to make some amends and gain new friends along the way by offering monthly free games such as Dead Space, Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies etc., more demos, beta access (such as Battlefield: Hardline), removing SimCity‘s always on mode and now this.

Naturally Titanfall was a massive release for the company a few months ago and although the game has some high and low points (check out the review here), many haven’t picked it up. Well PC owners now you can enjoy as many falling mechs and parkouring pilots as you wish for free! Albeit for a limited time of course, which will be 48 hours over this weekend

Kudos to you Electronic Arts, kudos!
