The sequel to the critically acclaimed indie darling, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is out now.

Developed by Night School Studio, the original Oxenfree was released and almost instantly it won over a legion of fans won over by its masterful thriller storytelling, charming characters, beautiful visuals and enticing soundtrack.

Admittedly, I was late to the Oxenfree party, but better late than never. If you’ve never played the original game, it can be picked up right now for as little as £2 and if you subscribe to Netflix, you can get it at no extra cost.

In case you didn’t know about either of the two games, I’ll include the synopsis for each below, but be aware of spoilers, obviously. Before we go, go buy either of these games, because you won’t regret it.

About OXENFREE
In OXENFREE, players take on the role of Alex, a bright, rebellious teenager who brings her new stepbrother Jonas to an overnight party on Edwards Island, an abandoned military island.

The night takes a terrifying turn when the group of friends unwittingly opens a ghostly rift spawned from the island’s cryptic past. Players will have to determine every aspect of Alex’s story while exploring Edwards Island, manoeuvring strange events, eccentric peers, ominous creatures and more in order to save their souls and close the rift that was accidentally created.

About OXENFREE II: Lost Signals
OXENFREE II: Lost Signals follows the story of Riley Poverly, an environmental researcher who returns to her hometown Camena to investigate unnaturally occurring radio frequency signals causing disturbances in electronic equipment.

She soon discovers a long history of ghostly happenings on the nearby Edwards Island and becomes entangled in a frightening, supernatural mystery. Featuring Night School’s signature, naturalistic dialogue system, OXENFREE II: Lost Signals takes players on a new journey where they’ll shape their experience in unexpected ways.

Oxenfree and Oxenfree II: Lost Signals are out now for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile.
