Gearbox recently did a presentation for PAX East, which although was a bit all over the place, at least it finally gave fans something that they wanted! Borderlands 3! Of course, whilst this may not come as a surprise to anyone, after all the teasing by Randy himself on Twitter, and via a video released just this week, it is still nice to get official confirmation.

The trailer released showcases interesting details, such as the villains of the game, as well as the brand new heroes. Fans will be pleased to know that a lot of the characters from previous games will be showing up as well. And of course, there will be tons and tons of loot and apparently over a billion variations of guns?

Not only that, but more Borderlands news was shared, with an Ultra HD pack coming to all core Borderlands’ titles (Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on consoles, Borderlands 2 and The Pre-sequel). Whilst people with 4K ready set-ups will appreciate the added detail, visual improvement will be noticeable across other displays as well. These will be available starting April 3rd, 2019. Later in the summer however, Borderlands 2 VR will also be getting all the DLC’s available for the second game.

Lastly, Borderlands: Game of the Year edition was also announced which will include brand new weapons, substantial visual upgrades and other game design improvements. Randy specifically mentioned having played around with the final boss in fun ways. This will be available relatively soon on the April 3rd as well, when more details will be released for Borderlands 3 as well. Boy is it an exciting time to be a Borderlands fan!
