Release Date, Limited Edition Announced For Sleeping Dogs

Publisher Square Enix have announced the release date for Sleeping Dogs as well as what the limited edition contains.

Square Enix have announced that upcoming open world cop drama Sleeping Dogs will be available in the UK on August 17, 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. North America will get Sleeping Dogs three days earlier on August 14, 2012.

They’ve also announced the content you can get with the Limited Edition and it contains one quirky piece content:

‘George St. Pierre (GSP)’ content:

* GSP’s signature “flying punch”
* Exclusive GSP outfit including T-shirts, headband and shorts
* The GSP outfit unlocks the “flying punch” and increases grappling and throwing damage

‘Police Protection’ content:

* Exclusive “High Speed” Mission
* Exclusive HK Police SWAT Outfit
* Exclusive assault rifle
* Exclusive SWAT Police Vehicle

Yes, somehow Square Enix have manage to get George “Rush” St. Pierre, one of the all-time greatest MMA fighters (past and present) to be featured in Sleeping Dogs. That’s the kind of crossover I like to see. You can pre-order the limited edition pack at all UK games retailers. On a final note, PC owners will get “exclusive content for the digitally downloadable PC version of Sleeping Dogs” which  “will be announced at a later date.”
