Resident Evil Free Ghost Survivors and Retro Skin DLC Dated for Next Month

A little over a week ago, Capcom teased that we will be getting The Ghost Survivors DLC.  At the time we knew that the mode would feature other characters from within the Resident Evil 2 universe, set in alternative realities which would loosely follow the events of the main game.  However, Capcom has now revealed added details on The Ghost Survivors.

The Ghost Survivors will include three chapters featuring Robert Kendo of the Kendo Gun Shop, Katherine Warren, the daughter of the Raccoon City Mayor and finally a member of the USS (Umbrella Security Service).  The three chapters will be called No Time to Mourn, Runaway and Forgotten Soldier, and best of all, The Ghost Survivors will be free DLC!  You can check out some screenshots of The Ghost Survivors below

Finally also last week, it was revealed that Resident Evil 2 would be getting some retro skins based upon the 1998 original for both Leon and Claire.  However, it was believed that this would soon arrive in Japan from the launch of the game (which it has), but would not release over to the west until March.  Thankfully that does not seem to be the case for the west, because the pixelated goodness of Leon and Claire will also be arriving alongside the release of The Ghost Survivors.  The Ghost Survivors and the 1998 retro skins will both release on February 15th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which just so happens to be the day after my birthday!

If for whatever reason you’ve not played the awesome Resident Evil 2 remake, you should read our review here to find out why we said “Resident Evil 2 is re-invented for a new generation and is better than ever!”
