Resident Evil: Revelations 2 – New Gameplay Footage, Developer Interview
Courtesy of Game Informer, they got a chance to sit down with the producer of Resident Evil: Revelations 2; Michiteru Okabe and he talks of how the development team has worked together to create a horror experience that will (hopefully) capture the essence of Resident Evil of old. He also explains the structure and the thinking behind Resident Evil: Revelations 2 releasing in episodes, rather than one full game off the bat.
Michiteru Okabe revealed that each episode will be around 2 hours a piece, which should be around 8 hours in all when considering the four episodes in total. But if you’re concerned that 8 hours is not enough Resi goodness, then I would fear not, as I fully expect the campaign itself to offer a lot of replayability with episode rankings, weapon unlocks and so forth. Not to mention that Capcom had previously teased that a new mode will be included with Revelations 2, I assume much like the Raid mode in the original Revs game and a take on the Mercenaries before that.
Each of the four episodes is expected to each release within a week or two of one another. Each episode will cost £5.99 or you can purchase the complete season with discount. Then once the fourth episode releases, Resident Evil Revelations 2 will release at retail with an RRP of £29.99.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will release early 2015, along with Resident Evil HD Remaster for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
