With only a few days to go until the official reveal for the next entry in the Call Of Duty series, retailer Target may have just beaten Activision to it! The official reveal trailer is set to be shown during the NBA Playoffs on May 1st.

A photo sent to IGN not only reveals the name and logo for Call of Duty Black Ops 2, but also gives it a release date of 13th November 2012. The date seems in line with previous Call Of Duty releases, and this year once again there will be not only completion from Medal Of Honor: Warfighter (October 23rd), but also Halo 4 (6th November) will be joining the fight. A similar match up occurred for the release of the original Black Ops where Medal Of Honor attempted to steal some of its thunder, and EA even had Battlefield 3 ready to go up against Modern Warfare 3, the competition never ends! The cards in question only show an Xbox 360 and PS3 release, though it will surely also appear on PC. Nothing is known in regards to the PS Vita Call Of Duty title.

It might also be about time to check in on the official Call Of Duty website, since some of the ‘Classified’ screens are starting to reveal some hints as to where and when the game will be set. One in particular showcases a ‘Prototype Quadrotor with a Machine Gun’, so hopefully we’ll have lots of toys to play with with in Black Ops 2…..unless this is what you’ll get with the special edition this time? (firing Nerf darts instead……We can dream)

Check below for the proof, and check back on May 1st for the reveal trailer.
