Rumour: Bethesda to unveil Prey 2, Wolfenstein 2, Evil Within 2 and Skyrim remaster at #E32016
Bethesda had a very busy E3 last year announcing the likes of Fallout 4, Dishonored Definitive Edition and Dishonored 2, however, if recent rumours are believed to be true, this year could be even busier for the studio.
The Bethesda E3 conference will take place this Sunday on June 12th and several websites including NeoGAF, German website GamePro and a H.A.M Radio Podcast (via Gematsu) believe that an Elders Scroll V: Skyrim remaster will be announced and it could be supported with mods for both consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) and PC, as we’ve seen with Fallout 4 recently. To add fuel to the speculative fire, The Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim Definitive Edition has been listed on online retailer base.com for both PS4 and Xbox One with a release date of November 23rd.
Other titles rumoured to be announced is the cancelled and expected to be revived Prey 2, along with sequels to both Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Evil Within. While I would much rather see a new Skyrim, its common knowledge that these games take a lot of years to build, so I suppose if its perhaps is remastered to the visual standards of Fallout 4 (especially as that games runs on an old, but improved engine), it might be a good way to pass the time while we wait for a sequel. Speaking of which, I really do hope that we see sequels for both Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Evil Within (as suggest in our reviews), which were both among the best games of 2014, and it will be interesting to see what direction Prey 2 has taken, if announced. Watch this space.
