TMNT-1980s-1

According to two classification rating boards, Platinum Games (Bayonetta, Metal Gear: Revengeance, Star Fox Zero) are to work with Activision once more, this time to develop a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles title.  A few weeks ago the game in question entitled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan appeared on the Brazilian Classification Board and now more recently, it’s also appeared on the Australian Classification Board.  It’s listed to be available on multiple platforms, so it would be a safe assumption to think that those formats would be PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The title “Mutants in Manhattan” certainly sounds like an official title and not a code name for a project, so I’d be shocked if this doesn’t materialise.  If Platinum Games could expand on the work they did with the recent Transformers: Devastation, this could be a match made in heaven.

Personally, much like the Transformers game, I’m hoping that the art style is that of the classic 1980’s TMNT series, but even if it’s based upon the recent Nickelodeon or IDW series, then I’d be happy with that too.  We’ll keep you posted when we hear more developments.

We scored Platinum Games Transformers: Devastation a 7.5, you can read our review here.
