Rumour: Rayman Origins Sequel Revealed Via Marketing Survey

Reported via an anonymous tipster, Research and Marketing firm Arkeford may have just revealed a sequel to last year’s Rayman Origins. Origins was received very well by both critics and gamers, and though sales took a while to get going, by the time it had appeared on the PC, Vita, and soon 3DS (as well as the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii), it ended up turning a profit.

The description that accompanied the video and artwork states –

The sequel to Rayman Origins will feature brand new settings: legendary worlds filled with castles, vampires, Ghosts, Greek Gods, or dragons….

It will maintain the core features of four player hop-in, hop-out co-op, but of course will expand on these with ‘additions’ for which the Survey was created. It’s likely the tipster wants to remain anonymous, since these surveys are often accompanied by an NDA (Non-Disclosure-Agreement)….meaning that he really shouldn’t have told us about this!

A sequel would be very much welcomed as Origins certainly revitalised the Rayman series, and with the four player co-op, it really appealed to all ages.

An E3 2012 reveal is likely on the cards, and we’re hoping to see more of Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell, and Assassin’s Creed at Ubisoft’s Press Conference.
